Curriculum

The Dyvosvit's curriculum for Preschool is based on The Creative Curriculum, which is aligned with Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards in combination with the requirements of the Ukrainian curriculum. The Dyvosvit's curriculum also includes English as a Second Language (ESL) and music lessons.

The Creative Curriculum is based on modern scientific research and contributes to the comprehensive development of the child. It is a high-quality resource that allows us to teach with specific goals and allows us to achieve the best results, because it takes into account the interests of the child and the needs of modern society.

To teach the afterschool group, Dyvosvit uses the Cincy After School curriculum, which aims to increase achievements of students and reduce their risky behavior through balanced activities consistent with the Ohio Academic Standards.

The language situation our preschool and school students are in is a great advantage. We develop and improve our students' knowledge of the Ukrainian language, as well as work on the development of their bilingualism. Our program reveals the artistic and creative abilities of children through music, drawing, modeling, applications and craftsmanship.

At the same time, along with the development of the native Ukrainian language and creative imagination, we give children basic knowledge of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), as well as develop their skills of thinking creatively in the modern world. We encourage the full disclosure of our students' talents, which will facilitate their future conscious choice of both the humanities and the sciences and technology professions.
